CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEER
Join our team and build an entire house in one day for a family in need in Tijuana. Everyone is welcome - no construction experience is required.
Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire day. The day starts at 5:30 am meeting at the IRT office in San Diego, and depending on the border wait time, returning at approximately 6:30 pm.
Volunteers receive direction and support from IRT staff, Volunteer Team Lead and Volunteer Skilled Supervisors throughout the day. General construction tasks on the build day will include framing, roof construction, painting, and installation of household amenities such as windows and doors.
Please Note: a passport is required.
This will be a day to remember! In just one day you will provide a family previously living in a makeshift shelter with their first real home. You will help change their lives!

Construction Volunteer Opportunity
We are deploying volunteer teams for one week (Sunday to Sunday) to Paradise, California to rebuild homes that were destroyed by the Camp Fire in 2018. Volunteers from anywhere in the USA are welcome to join.
We need volunteers of all skill levels, with a preference for roofers, drywallers, and those with finish carpentry experience.
A tax-deductible team fee for this program is $100, which covers airfare, lodging, and transportation. Volunteers are responsible for their own meals, which generally cost $50-60 per week.
This is a “REAL” construction site- Be prepared to work hard and get dirty!
