Medicines & Supplies

In many low-income countries, medicines are scarce due to high costs, weak supply chains, and underfunded healthcare systems. Conflict and import restrictions make access even harder, leaving clinics without essential treatments.

As a result, treatable illnesses go unchecked, infections worsen, and struggling families face impossible choices. In crisis zones, limited access to medicine deepens suffering and strains fragile healthcare systems.

We ship millions of dollars’ worth of medicines each year to hospitals and clinics that serve the poor. So many children live in countries which lack basic medicines essential to their health -- items such as vitamins, antibiotics, and vaccines – easy to get here in the U.S. but so scarce in their own country. For every dollar donated, we can obtain at least $50 worth of lifesaving medicines.

MEDICINES FOR CHILDREN

IRT provides essential medicines to vulnerable and disadvantaged populations for a fraction of their cost. $1 enables IRT to procure $50-100 worth of medicines to fight disease and improve the health of communities.
