Hurricane Melissa

When Hurricane Melissa tore across Jamaica, powerful winds and catastrophic flooding destroyed homes, washed out roads, and left families cut off from basic necessities. Entire communities were suddenly without food, clean water, and medical care. In response, we are delivering critical relief, including food, clean drinking water, essential medicines, and tarps to help families temporarily repair damaged roofs and protect what little they have left as they begin to rebuild.

Hurricane Florence

It made landfall in 2018 and became North Carolina’s most devastating natural disaster. The damage was so extensive that long-term rebuilding is still needed to get families back home. Each month, teams of skilled construction volunteers from International Relief Teams spend a week repairing and rebuilding homes for those still displaced.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton

One of the deadliest storms in recent history, Hurricane Helene struck on September 26, 2024, submerging entire towns and leaving North Carolina’s hardest-hit communities without food, water, or power. We stepped in fast, delivering 3.5 million pounds of food and emergency supplies, helping 55,997 people across seven states find safety and relief.

Just two weeks later, before families had even begun to recover, Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida, slamming storm-weary communities with Category 3 winds and relentless rain. Once again, we mobilized quickly, providing 850,000 pounds of emergency aid to ensure food, water, and shelter for thousands caught in the storm’s path.

By sharing our work, you help bring healing to communities in crisis. Let others feel the hope you do.
