7. DO WE USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
We may use artificial intelligence (“AI”) technologies to support and improve our operations, programs, and services. This may include tools that help us analyze aggregated data, enhance donor and volunteer engagement, streamline administrative functions, and improve the effectiveness of our communications and outreach efforts. Any AI tools we use operate under strict technical and contractual safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information.
We do not use AI to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. We also do not use AI to engage in intrusive, unfair, or discriminatory profiling. We may use donor research and screening services that utilize AI, such as DonorSearch, to help us better understand our supporter community, identify potential philanthropic opportunities, and meet legal or ethical fundraising obligations. These tools are used to support mission‑aligned outreach and stewardship and are not used to make automated decisions about individuals. Any Personal Information processed using AI tools is handled in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law, and we limit such use to the purposes for which the information was originally collected.
When we engage third party AI service providers, we require them to implement robust security measures and prohibit them from using your Personal Information for their own purposes. We do not permit our AI vendors to use your data to train their generalized models unless you have provided explicit consent or the data has been fully anonymized and no longer identifies you.
If at any time we introduce new forms of AI processing that materially change how we use or protect your information, we will update this Privacy Notice and provide additional notice where required.
8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

13. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your Personal Information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of Personal Information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for mission related or promotional purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared Personal Information in the immediately preceding calendar year. 14. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a DNT feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
