Los Angeles Wildfires

Los Angeles Needs You

In early 2025, Los Angeles County was struck by a series of catastrophic wildfires that tore through both coastal and inland communities. The fires, burned with hurricane-force winds that leveled entire neighborhoods in a matter of hours. More than 16,000 homes, schools, and businesses were reduced to ash, displacing thousands of families and cutting off livelihoods across the region.

Recovery has just begun. A monthly gift ensures they don’t face recovery alone.

This disaster stands among the most destructive in California’s history, reshaping communities and leaving survivors with urgent needs that will continue for years to come.

Los Angeles

The scale of destruction in Los Angeles requires more than an immediate response. To meet both urgent needs and long-term challenges, International Relief Teams has launched a three phase recovery plan—starting with emergency relief and continuing until families are safely home again.

Phase 1 – Emergency Relief

In the immediate aftermath, we focused on urgent needs and critical resource gaps. Together with partners, we distributed food, bottled water, and hygiene supplies to 58,139 people.

Phase 2 – Recovery and Clean-Up

We provided personal protective equipment so residents and cleanup workers can clear debris safely without risking their health.

Purchased a box truck for our partner, making it possible to move cleanup and construction tools between sites and support wildfire recovery efforts.

Phase 3 – Rebuilding Homes and Hope

For decades, International Relief Teams has helped families rebuild after disasters. In Los Angeles, our skilled construction volunteers will once again rebuild homes at no cost to homeowners—restoring safety, dignity, and hope for families who have lost everything.

Volunteers from across North America will travel to support this effort.

By sharing our work, you help bring healing to communities in crisis. Let others feel the hope you do.
