Hope Restored After the Earthquake in Myanmar

When a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar in March, thousands were killed, homes crumbled, and families were left with nothing. For families already struggling to feed their children—in a country where nearly 1 in 4 suffers from malnutrition—the disaster deepened an already urgent crisis.

In Mandalay, one of the hardest-hit areas, families lost homes, churches, and livelihoods overnight. A local pastor shared that his congregation felt hopeless as everything collapsed around them. But just days later, when emergency supplies funded by International Relief Teams arrived—rice, mosquito nets, blankets, and solar lights—he said, “We felt seen, supported, and strengthened.”

Thanks to donor generosity, we were able to provide families across Myanmar with significant life-saving relief:

  • 90,000 meals provided to families in 10 devastated communities

  • 5,100 people reached with food, clean water, and hygiene supplies

  • 1,200 families supplied with emergency food kits in remote villages

  • 6 community water filter systems rebuilt, bringing safe water to thousands each day

  • 92 children who lost their homes were  given shelter, nourishing meals, and a safe place to sleep

Because of our generous donors, these families were not left abandoned in their darkest days. They felt care and received strength and hope to carry on.

When disaster hits, your compassion can make all the difference. Give today to help International Relief Teams bring comfort and care to those in crisis when it’s needed most.
