In February and March of 2023, multiple earthquakes devastated parts of war-torn Syria. In addition to previous shipments of medicines and basic supplies, in April we were able to distribute more food parcels and hygiene kits. This was all in thanks to our partners on the ground. Because of your support, we provided swift disaster relief and emergency lighting in Syria after the earthquakes. Kits were delivered to 255 families and emergency lighting was installed for an additional 70 families.
Providing emergency light is critical to assisting those without any power, especially the elderly. Our team was able to install emergency lighting for several elderly disaster victims to get them through the dark nights with safety in mind.
