Sudan is facing the world’s worst hunger crisis, with over half the population struggling to eat and millions displaced by conflict. In overcrowded displacement camps, families face severe food shortages, limited services, and growing disease outbreaks like cholera and measles.
Amid this crisis, immediate relief is only the first step.
To create lasting impact, we are addressing the urgent needs of displaced families through three core programs—Health Services & Supplies, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, and Food & Nutrition—providing food assistance to 17,589 people and WASH facilities to 1,500 families.
International Relief Teams supports emergency health interventions in crisis zones where medical infrastructure has collapsed. This includes providing mosquito nets to prevent the spread of malaria and supporting health efforts that protect displaced families and host communities during emergencies.
WASH initiatives aim to restore and maintain access to clean water and safe sanitation. Projects include repairing wells and water systems, rebuilding latrines, and distributing hygiene kits. Community-based education campaigns also promote healthy hygiene practices and help prevent the spread of waterborne illnesses like cholera, fostering long-term resilience in affected areas.
Children and their families are receiving daily meals and targeted nutritional supplements to restore health, strengthen immunity, and prevent further complications.
