Supporting Families Facing Catastrophic Hunger in Gaza

Families in Gaza are facing extreme hunger as access to food continues to collapse. With border closures, empty markets, and widespread displacement, many people have no reliable way to find or prepare meals. Famine has been confirmed in parts of Gaza, and cases of acute malnutrition among children are rising sharply.

Many families no longer have functioning kitchens, fuel, or clean water, making it nearly impossible to cook even the small amounts of food they may receive.

Response in Gaza

International Relief Teams is teaming up with trusted partners to operate community kitchens in Khan Younis and Al-Mawasee — an area unilaterally designated as a “humanitarian zone” — where thousands of hot meals are being served each day.

This region, once home to roughly 9,000 residents, now shelters an estimated 600,000 displaced people. It lacks the basic infrastructure needed to support such a large population, including adequate food, shelter, clean water, and sanitation.

We are prioritizing feeding displaced families, children, and older adults who no longer have access to functioning kitchens, ensuring they receive life-saving nourishment when they need it most.

By sharing our work, you help bring healing to communities in crisis. Let others feel the hope you do.
