Rose Uranga is International Relief Teams’ Chief Operating Officer. In 1989, she left her 16 year career at Nevada Bell to pursue her lifelong passion of helping the poor and disadvantaged. In 1990, she joined the newly established Southwest Medical Teams (now International Relief Teams) and became instrumental in its overall development, including the building of a solid foundation of committed donors and volunteers. Rose is responsible for the assessment, implementation and management of IRT’s programs. She has traveled to Asia, Central & South America, Eastern Europe, Africa and the South Pacific to support these programs and lead volunteer teams. She directs the day-to-day activities of the office and personnel and is responsible for IRT’s annual fundraising event, the Gifts of Hope Gala.
