We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

#GivingTuesday was founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. Together, with a team of influencers and founding partners, they launched a global movement that has engaged over 30,000 organizations worldwide. How is International Relief Teams participating in #GivingTuesday?

This year, we have been put to the challenge! We have a matching grant of $5,000 to support Kids Kingdom - an orphanage that provides a loving, warm home for abused, abandoned and neglected children in Ensenada, Mexico. Many of these children arrive at Kids Kingdom from living on the streets and without any previous schooling. Every month, we make sure they have enough food to eat and are able to attend school. IRT and Kids Kingdom are dedicated to providing a safe environment where children can grow, thrive and become productive, flourishing adults.

Between now and November 29, your support can go twice as far, with every gift to #GivingTuesday being matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000!

Why Should I Support Kids Kingdom and How Much Should I Give?

The orphanage is completely privately funded and depends on YOU to keep these children well fed and in school. With a generous matching gift of $5,000, we can raise a potential $10,00 and feed all the kids at the orphanage for an entire year!

Will you show your support this #GivingTuesday by giving a donation of $20 (doubled to $40) for the children of Kids Kingdom?

How will you show your love this holiday season?

By giving $20 to wonderful kids like Lluvia and Rosalina!
